Recollect’s international customer base is growing rapidly and we are looking for an experienced business development manager to manage this growth and expand the Company’s services into new markets. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for cultural heritage, and a desire to build a business from a solid platform.

We host our customers’ cultural heritage digital reproductions of almost every record type and have built up an enviable reputation in the market.  We are recognised for our company values of professionalism, friendly, expert and caring.  After working with off-the-shelf products (with limited success) we built our own product from the ground up using what we discovered were core user expectations.  Recollect is now a mature product which was fully developed in-house, serving a diverse range of organisations who have information and digital assets they want to interact with, and we are growing fast.  Our cloud-based community engagement and collection management platform offers sophisticated social interaction features and we provide support for, and hosting of, our clients’ sites. This role will require extensive overseas travel and is based at Head Office in Grenada North, just off the motorway 15 minutes north of Wellington in a modern building with a top-notch espresso machine, free parking and a bike rack.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Maintain our current overseas customer base and develop new overseas markets
  • Work seamlessly between direct customer sale and developing a reseller network
  • Drive overseas revenue and profitability
  • Collaborate with leadership to deliver our strategy for the overseas business
  • Be a part of creating new plans
  • Produce regular informative reporting
  • Network and communicate effectively with clients and develop strong professional relationships, be intuitive with the Cultural Heritage sector
  • Work to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained
  • Contribute to the overall global success of our company
